The Orange opened up the scoring with a goal late in the first period. Brittney Krebs received the puck and found Holly Carrie-Mattimoe who was all alone in front of the goal. Ten minutes later, Greco notched her first goal of the game. Drinkwater threw the puck up to Kaillie Goodnough who found Greco in the center of the ice. The defenseman, who was on offense tonight, shut the puck high, giving SU a 2-1 lead at 13:29 in the second frame.
After Shiann Darkangelo was called for a five-minute contact to the head penalty and a two minute hooking call, the Colonials went on the power-play for seven minutes. The Colonials tied up the game again, after Kelsey Thomas netted a goal off of assists from Kristen Richards and Rebecca Vint. It was 2-2 after the second period.
Greco then put the Orange up again 3-2, after taking away the puck from RMU in the neutral zone and skating up the left side. Greco took a shot from the left circle that bounced off of DiCocco's shoulder and into the net at 10:02 in the third period.
