SYRACUSE, N.Y. -Â The rv/rv Syracuse Orange women's basketball team (7-1) returns home after seven straight games on the road to host Wagner (1-5) on Tuesday at the Carrier Dome in a 7 p.m. tip-off.
• The Orange is looking to bounce back from its lone loss of the season, 74-67 at Temple on Sunday. Syracuse started the season with seven straight wins, six of which came away from home, including victories over ACC foes Georgia Tech (75-72 OT) and Virginia (74-73) at the San Juan Shootout in Puerto Rico (Nov. 23-24).
• Tuesday's game vs. Wagner kicks off a five-game homestand for the Orange that runs through the rest of the calendar year.
• The Orange is coming off a 22-15 season in 2011-12, its third straight season of 22 or more wins, capped off with a four-game road winning streak in the WNIT, reaching to tournament's semfinals for the first time in program history.

• All the Orange's games can be heard live on SU's flagship station, ESPN 97.7 FM/1200 AM, and on Orange All-Access at SUathletics.com with Brian Higgins '04 on the call. Sunday's game will also be on WJPZ 89.9 FM.

DOME SWEET DOME
• Syracuse has a record of 64-31 (.674) in the Carrier Dome since moving there full-time in 2006-07.
• Last season, SU was 9-6 in the Dome.
• The Orange was nearly unbeatable on its home court in 2010-11, posting a 20-2 record in the Dome.
NON-CONFERENCE HOME STREAK
• Syracuse has won 48 non-conference home games in a row, dating back to the 2006-07 season, Quentin Hillsman's first season as head coach at SU. He is 50-5 in his career in such games.
• The Orange went 6-0 last season in out-of-conference play at the Dome.
• SU's last non-conference home loss was on Dec. 22, 2006 to Canisius (56-43).
• In 2010-11 SU was 14-0, 12-0 in 2009-10, 8-0 in 2008-09, and 7-0 in 2007-08.
ORANGE ROAD SHOW
• Syracuse opened the season by playing seven of eight games away from the Carrier Dome, going 6-1, including 4-1 on the opponent's court. SU's 4-0 away-game record IN November was the best among all BCS conference teams, ahead of Arkansas (3-0) and Arizona (3-0). Its 6-0 record in neutral-site and away games combined was also the best among major conference teams.Â
• The Orange's 10-5 record on the road in 2011-12 was the best in program history in terms of wins, surpassing seven, done  most recently in 2007-08, and is the best in terms of winning percentage (.667) since 1978-79 (7-1, .875).
• In last season's WNIT, Syracuse won four consecutive away games for the first time in 22 years. Between Dec. 12, 1990 and Jan. 10, 1991, SU won five straight road games.
'CUSE GETS VOTES
• Syracuse is receiving votes in both the latest Associated Press (four points, Dec. 3) and USA TODAY Coaches Poll (38 points, Nov. 27).
• SU received 30 points in last week's AP poll, its first time getting votes in that poll this season, while earning votes in all four coaches' polls thus far.
• The Orange received votes in the first five weeks of the coaches poll last season.
SERIES HISTORY
• Syracuse won the only previous meeting between the schools, 93-55, on Dec. 2, 2009 at the Carrier Dome.
• Then-freshman Kayla Alexander led the Orange with 23 points that evening, while Nicole Michael and Erica Morrow added 14 and 12 points, respectively.Â
• Syracuse shot 48 percent in the game, while holding Wagner to 35 percent shooting. SU dominated the boards, out-rebounding the Seahawks, 55-29.
SCOUTING WAGNER
• The Seahawks are off to a 1-5 start, most recently losing at home to Iona, 74-64, on Saturday.
• Wagner has played one BIG EAST team already, losing Pittsburgh, 65-39, on Nov. 20.
• The Seahawks' win came at Columbia (61-47).
• Stephanie Blais leads the Seahwks in scoring at 13.5 ppg and is shooting 49 percent from the field including 10-of-22 (46%) from 3-point range.
• Chanes Robinson is also averaging in double figures at 10.0 ppg, while Marie Archambault is contributing 9.5 ppg and is another outside threat, shooing 14-of-33 (42%) from deep.
• Wagner is halfway to its win total from a season ago as it returns two starters from a team that went 2-27 overall and 1-17 in the NEC.
• Former Illinois and Vanderbilt assistant Lisa Cermignano is in her first season as head coach.

ORANGE SUFFERS FIRST LOSS
• Second-half runs of 12-0 and 16-3 erased a 14-point Syracuse lead and gave Temple (5-2) a 74-67 comeback victory over the rv/rv Orange (7-1) on Sunday at McGonigle Hall.
 • Temple shot 58.1 percent from the field in the second half, while the Orange, which shot 47.1 percent in the first half, shot just 28.1 percent in the second period. Victoria Macauley scored 14 of her game-high 20 points in the second half to lead the Owls comeback. The Owls center also had a game-high 11 rebounds as Temple out-rebounded SU, 48-32, including 25-13 in the second half.
• Syracuse was led by 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting by Philadelphia native Carmen Tyson-Thomas. Fellow seniors Kayla Alexander and Elashier Hall added 12 points each, while Rachel Coffey had her first-career double-double with 11 points and a career-best 10 assists.
SU LOGS ACC WINS IN PUERTO RICO
• In the year before it makes its move to the Atlantic Coast Conference, Syracuse won two games against soon-to-be conference foes at the San Juan Shootout in Puerto Rico on Nov. 23-24, beating Georgia Tech in overtime, 75-72, and Virginia, 74-73.
• Elashier Hall scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead SU to a 75-72 victory in overtime against rv/rv Georgia Tech. Fellow seniors Kayla Alexander and Carmen Tyson-Thomas added 14 and 13 points, respectively, and freshman Pachis Roberts scored a career-best 11 points to give the Orange four double-figure scorers in a back-and-forth game that saw 15 lead changes and 12 ties.
• Hall made two free throws with .4 seconds left to give Syracuse a thrilling 74-73 victory vs. rv/rv Virginia. Alexander scored 13 of her team-high 18 points in the second half to fuel the Orange comeback from as many as 12 down. The senior center also led the Orange with nine rebounds and four blocks. Hall finished with 17 points and Roberts added 11, giving SU three in double figures.
DOMINATING THE GLASS
• Dominant rebounding has become the norm for the Orange in recent years. Syracuse is averaging 43.9 rebounds per game, with the most impressive showing being a 61-35 advantage on Nov. 20 at St. Joe's.
• In the BIG EAST, SU is second in rebounds per game (43.9) and offensive rebounds (17.8), fourth in defensive rebounds (26.1) and eighth in rebounding margin (+6.6).
• SU finished second in the NCAA in rebounding in 2011-12, averaging 46.2 per game and ranked 11th in rebounding margin (+8.9).
• SU had three of the top 15 rebounders in the league in 2011-12: 7. Carmen Tyson-Thomas, 7.8; 9. Kayla Alexander, 7.5; and 15. Iasia Hemingway, 6.4.
• Syracuse led the NCAA in rebounding margin in 2010-11 at +13.4 per game. SU outrebounded 31 of its 35 opponents.
ALEXANDER: SETTING RECORDS
• Senior center Kayla Alexander has scored 1,607 points in 116 career games. She passed Julie McBride's (2001-04) 1,605 for third all-time at SU in Sunday's game at Temple. She is 51 points behind current SU staff member Erica Morrow (2008-2011) for second and 177 points behind the program's all-time leading scorer, Nicole Michael's (2007-10) 1,784.
• Alexander became just the fifth player in SU history to reach 1,500 points with 26 at Cornell on Nov. 16.Â
• Alexander passed Holly Oslander (1989-94) to become Syracuse's all-time blocks leader with eight rejections in the opener vs. Fairleigh Dickinson (11/11). She now has 290 to Oslander's 262.
• Alexander passed Nicole Michael (2007-10) for the SU career record for free throws made in the Orange's win vs. Georgia Tech (11/23). She has scored 439 points at the line in her career, while Michael had 425.
• Alexander, a two-time All-BIG EAST selection and preseason All-Conference honoree, leads the Orange in scoring (19.5 ppg), rebounding (8.5 rpg) and blocks (4.25 bpg).Â
TYSON-THOMAS MAKES IMPACT
• Senior Carmen Tyson-Thomas is averaging 11.9 points and 5.3 rebounds while shooting 51 percent from the field through eight games this season.
• A 36 percent shooter in her career entering this season, including 25 percent from 3-point range, the senior has become one the Orange's most efficient shooters in her senior season, shooting 51 percent over all and 35 percent from behind the arc.
• The Philadelphia native recorded her 19th career double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds in Nov. 20's win at Saint Joseph's. She had a team-high 18 points in her hometown against Temple on Dec. 2.
• The 5-9 swing player recorded double-digit rebounds 12 times in 2011-12 and began the 2012-13 season with 10 boards in the opener vs. Fairleigh Dickinson.
• Tyson-Thomas finished 2011-12 third on the team in scoring (10.7 ppg.) and led the club in rebounding at 7.8 per game, seventh in the BIG EAST, 3.7 of which come at the offensive end, fifth-best in the conference.
HALL DISPLAYS ALL-AROUND GAME
• Do-everything guard Elashier Hall has been just that for the Orange thus far in 2012-13, averaging 9.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.
• Hall was the star for the Orange in its two wins in Puerto Rico at the San Juan Shootout (11/23-24), recording the fifth double-double if her career with 15 points and 11 rebounds vs. Georgia Tech and poured in 17 points, including the game-winning free throws with .4 seconds left vs. Virginia.
• She is coming off a 12-point, five-rebound, six-assist performance at Temple on Sunday.
• Hall showed her versatility last season, averaging 8.7 points per game to go along with 5.2 rebounds per contest, all while ranking second on the team with 108 assists and 67 steals.
• Despite playing much of the latter half of last season on an injured knee, Hall finished strong, averaging 12.8 points and 6.3 rebounds in the final four games of the WNIT. She scored 18 in the semifinals at JMU (3/28) after three-straight 11-point outings.
1-2 POINT GUARD TANDEM
• The point guard tandem of freshman Cornelia Fondren and junior Rachel Coffey have been very effective in running the Orange offense, which is averaging 78.6 points per game (No. 2 in the BIG EAST).
• Coffey (23.8 minutes/game) has come off the bench in every game but one to lead the BIG EAST in assists (5.6 apg), while compiling an impressive 45-to-20 assist-to-turnover ratio (2.50) that ranks seventh-best in the BIG EAST.
• Coffey is coming her first career double-double at Temple on Sunday, dishing out a career-best 10 assists and scoring 11 points in a season-high 37 minutes.
• Fondren (16.4 minutes/game) has started seven of eight games at the point and has come on strong as of late, averaging four assists per game in the Orange's wins in Puerto Rico.
• Fondren has been a selective, yet effective, shooter from the outside for SU. She is 3-of-5 from 3-point range this season and is also shooting 80 percent at the free throw line.
• Coffey was the catalyst for SU in the postseason in 2011-12. She averaged a team-best 13.3 points and 5.5 assists per game in SU's four WNIT wins, along with 48 percent shooting from 3-point range (11-23).
• Coffey ended the regular season on fire from the outside, shooting 24-of-52 (.462) from 3-point range in the last 10 games of the regular season, while averaging 3.2 assists per game in that stretch.
