CHICAGO - The Syracuse women's basketball team (16-11, 5-8 BIG EAST) hits the road to take on No. 21/20 DePaul (20-7, 8-5 BIG EAST) on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET.
The Orange is coming off a 79-63 victory at home vs. Marquette on Saturday while the Blue Demons are coming off a 77-63 win at West Virginia that same day.

SERIES HISTORY
• This will be the seventh meeting all-time between Syracuse and DePaul with the Blue Demons leading the series, 5-1.
• The teams have played once every season since 2005-06 when DePaul joined the BIG EAST after never having played previously.
• DePaul won last season's meeting, 77-61, at the Carrier Dome on Feb. 8, 2011. The Blue Demons used a 15-5 second-half run to get the win. Carmen Tyson-Thomas led the Orange with 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Iasia Hemingway added 14 and Shakeya Leary had 13. DePaul's Deirdre Naughton led all scorers with 19 points.
• The last time the teams played in Chicago, on Feb. 27, 2010, DePaul won, 74-71. The Blue Demons used a 7-0 burst late in the game after SU tied it, 58-58. Nicole Michael and Juanita Ward each poured in 20 points for the Orange, while Anna Martin led all scorers with 31 points and nine rebounds.
• Syracuse's lone win in the series came at DePaul, a 69-66 victory for the No. 22 Orange over the No. 23 Blue Demons on Jan. 29, 2008. Vionca Murray scored 17 points and Erica Morrow added 15 for SU, who used a late 11-2 run to get the win.
SCOUTING DEPAUL
• DePaul enters the contest with a 20-7 overall record and 8-5 mark in the BIG EAST. It is ranked No. 21 in this week's AP poll and No. 20 in the coaches poll.
• The Blue Demons have won three in row, most recently a 77-63 victory at West Virginia on Saturday. Prior to that, they beat Marquette (71-59) on Feb. 12 and Villanova (79-73) on Feb. 8, both at home.
• DePaul's last loss was on Feb. 5 at No. 2 Notre Dame, 90-70. Its other BIG EAST losses were to Providence, USF, Connecticut and Rutgers.
• Anna Martin, a 5-9 guard, leads DePaul in scoring at 18.5 points per game. She has hit 53 3s this season and shoots 42 percent from behind the arc.
• She is joined in the backcourt by freshman Brittany Hrynko, another sharpshooter shooting 34 percent from 3-point range and has 50 on the season while averaging 11.5 points per game.
• Katherine Harry nearly averages a double-double at 9.3 ppg and 9.4 rebounds per contest.
• Doug Bruno is in his 26th season as head coach. He recorded his 500th career victory earlier this season has has taken the Blue Demons to nine-straight NCAA Tournaments.
LAST TIME OUT
• Kayla Alexander scored 23 points and SU used a 16-0 second half run to pull away from Marquette (13-13, 4-9) on Saturday in the Carrier Dome, 79-63. Alexander led four SU players in double-figures as the Orange earned its fifth straight win against the Golden Eagles.
• In her ninth 20-point game of the season, Alexander was 10-of-13 from the floor and tied a season high with five blocks. Elashier Hall (14 points), Carmen Tyson-Thomas (15 points) and Iasia Hemingway (13 points) also scored in double-figures for the Orange, while Rachel Coffey tied a career high with six assists.
• Phylesha Bullard, who earned her second start of the season in the game, had a career-high four steals while adding eight points. SU shot 54 percent from the floor (31-of-57) while the Orange scored 32 points off 21 MU turnovers.
• Marquette would piece together a brief 8-2 to pull within 12 points late, but a three-pointer from Coffey with 2:23 left in regulation brought SU back up by 15 at 73-58.
DOMINATING THE GLASS
• Dominant rebounding has become the norm for the Orange in recent years. Syracuse ranks fourth in the NCAA in rebounding, averaging 46.1 per game and ranks eighth in rebounding margin, pulling down an average of 9.7 per game more than its opponents.
• In the BIG EAST, SU leads the conference in rebounds per game (46.1), offensive rebounds (20.7) and is fourth in rebounding margin (+9.7).
• SU has four of the top 20 rebounders in the league (9. Carmen Tyson-Thomas, 7.6; 10. Kayla Alexander, 7.3; 16. Iasia Hemingway, 6.3; and 17. Shakeya Leary, 6.1.
• Syracuse led the NCAA in rebounding margin last season at +13.4 per game. SU outrebounded 31 of its 35 opponents.
STRONG AT THE STRIPE
• An aggressive, attacking style of offense results in the Orange ranking third in the NCAA in both free throws made (478) and free throws attempted (625).
• Syracuse leads the BIG EAST in free throw shooting percentage at .765.
• Carmen Tyson-Thomas leads the Orange with a .879 mark from the free throw line this season.
• The Orange set a BIG EAST record for most free throws made without in a miss in a game at Providence (1/31) when it went 23-of-23.
• On Jan. 7 at Pitt, The Orange went 34-of-38 (.895) at the line, including Iasia Hemingway setting a school record with 15 free throws in 16 attempts.
ALEXANDER HONORED BY CONFERENCE
• After she scored 23 points in SU's lone game last week, a 79-63 win vs. Marquette, Kayla Alexander was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Monday.
• Alexander shot 11-of-13 (.769) from the floor, grabbed four rebounds and blocked five shots.
• It was Alexander's fourth time being named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll this season. The First-Team All-Conference center also had the honor on Nov. 21, Nov. 28 and Jan. 23.
• It was the seventh BIG EAST weekly award for Syracuse this season.
