BALTIMORE, Md. – Syracuse junior Michelle Tumolo has been selected to the US Lacrosse women's national senior team roster for the North American Challenge Cup, which takes place July 13-15 in Oshawa, Canada. In addition, former Orange All-American Katie Rowan '09 and current assistant coach Katrina Dowd were also chosen to the 24-player roster. The team was selected from the 38-player 2011-12 senior team that most recently competed at the Champion Challenge in January.

Dowd is in her first season as an assistant coach at Syracuse. She has been a member of the U.S. national team since 2008, and was chosen as an alternate on the 2009 U.S. FIL World Cup Championship squad. Dowd is the NCAA Tournament career leader in goals (45) and ranks fourth in points (52). She was a two-time first-team All-American at Northwestern. In 2010, Dowd was named the IWLCA Attacker of the Year and was a finalist for the Tewaaraton Trophy, which is presented to the top collegiate player each year.
