SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse will be featured on live television four times during the 2012 campaign, including two nationally on CBS Sports Network. It marks the fourth consecutive season that the Orange will be aired to a national audience.
Syracuse is slated to face defending national champion Northwestern on Time Warner Cable Sports at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 29 in the Carrier Dome.
The Orange will have three out of four contests broadcast on live television during a two-week span in April, beginning with a road contest at Notre Dame on Thursday, April 5. The match-up with the Irish will be televised on CBS Sports Network at 7 p.m. Syracuse then returns home for an afternoon date with Rutgers at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, broadcast on Time Warner Cable Sports. A week later, the Orange plays host to Georgetown on Saturday, April 14, at 2:30 p.m. The rivalry game will be televised on CBS Sports Network.
In addition, CBS Sports Network will televise the BIG EAST Championship semifinals and finals from the Carrier Dome on May 3 and 5.
The 12th-ranked Orange opens the 2012 season on Tuesday, Feb. 21 against Boston College. Syracuse will battle the Eagles at 4 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. Admission is free of charge.
