TAMPA, Fla. - The No. 57 Syracuse University tennis team (14-6) defeated Rutgers by a score of 4-0 in the consolation bracket of the BIG EAST Tennis Tournament on Saturday at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts.
This is the second time Syracuse has defeated Rutgers this season, with the first win coming on Feb. 19 at Drumlins Tennis Center.
The Orange finished fifth place in the BIG EAST and will now await to see if SU is selected into the NCAA Tournament. The University of Georgia will host the two week tournament which spans from May 17-28.
