Top 10 Teams Collide Monday in the Dome

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – No. 2/3 Syracuse will play its third game in five days when it hosts No. 10/6 Dartmouth on Monday, April 9 in the Carrier Dome. Game time is set for 3 p.m. The Orange (8-2, 3-0) enters the game on a seven-game winning streak, while the Big Green (8-1, 4-0) has won three in a row.

ORANGE LOOKS TO MAKE HISTORY
Syracuse goes for its fourth victory against a team ranked in the top 10 in the nation when it takes on Dartmouth. The Orange defeated No. 9 Notre Dame last Thursday for its third top 10 win of the season. It marks just the third time in school history that SU has accomplished the feat.
A CLOSER LOOK AT THE ORANGE
Sophomore Alyssa Murray and junior Michelle Tumolo led a second-half scoring outburst in Syracuse's 15-10 win against BIG EAST foe Rutgers on Saturday, April 7 in the Carrier Dome. The victory extended the Orange's winning streak to seven games.
Leading by one, 7-6, at halftime, Syracuse opened the second half with a 5-1 scoring run to take a 12-7 lead with 8:41 remaining. Tumolo had two goals and an assist during the run, while Murray added a pair of goals. After Rutgers scored to cut the lead to four, Murray netted three consecutive goals to give SU its largest lead of the game at 15-8 with 3:27 on the clock. The Scarlet Knights recorded two goals in the final two minutes for the 15-10 final.
Murray led the Orange with seven points (6g, 1a), while Tumolo finished with four points (3g, 1a) and moved into a tie for sixth place on Syracuse's all-time scoring list (176).
SCOUTING THE BIG GREEN
Dartmouth defeated Cornell, 12-10, on Saturday, April 7 to improve its record to 8-1. The Big Green has won three straight after its only loss of the season at Florida.
Sarah Plumb and Kirsten Goldberg lead Dartmouth's offense. Plumb has 32 points this season on 22 goals and a team-high 10 assists, while Goldberg leads the team with 24 goals and ranks second in scoring with 30 points. Plumb also leads the squad with 45 draw controls and 11 caused turnovers. Kristen Giovanniello has started every game in goal for the Big Green. She has an 8.30 goals-against average and a .516 save percentage.
Amy Patton is 217-99 (.686) in her 20th season at Dartmouth. She has led the Big Green to 11 NCAA Tournament appearances and one national championship.
THE SERIES
Monday's game will be the 14th all-time meeting between Syracuse and Dartmouth. The Big Green holds an 8-5 advantage in the series and has won the last two contests.
