SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Syracuse track and field team sent its mid-distance squad to Swarthmore, Pa. on Monday to compete in the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet. The SU men and women ran in the 1500-meter run, and were led by Joseph Kush and Angelica Peck, respectively.
Kush finished 17th overall with a time of 3:52.86, while Justin Murray trailed closely behind in 19th at 3:53.21. Also competing in the event for the SU men were Griff Graves (27th; 3:54.36), Jonathan Aziz (44th; 3:58.37), Nick Roertgen (59th; 4:03.26) and David Wilson (64th; 4:05.34).
On the women's side, Peck's time of 4:30.88 was good for a 14th place finish, and was followed by Beth Wright's 16th place finish overall with a time of 4:32.12. Also competing for SU was Maura Linde (27th; 4:42.28).
The NCAA will announce the list of student-athletes accepted into the preliminary rounds for the national championships on Thursday at 1:00 p.m.
