The Particulars
• Syracuse has another three game-week on tap, traveling to Cornell on Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 7 p.m. The Orange then travels to Lindenwood for a CHA series on Friday, Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. and on Saturday, Jan. 19 at 2 p.m. After Saturday's game, the Orange will have played five-straight on the road.
Weekend Recap
• Following its 6-0 shutout against Colgate on Tuesday, SU fell short at No. 7 Mercyhurst, falling 1-0 on Friday night and then 4-1 on Saturday night.
• Shiann Darkangelo scored the second hat trick of her career against the Raiders. The hat trick was also only the third scored in SU history. Both Melissa Piacentini and Brittney Krebs each had multi-point games as well. Piacentini notched two assists while Krebs scored a short handed goal and had one helper.
• Kallie Billadeau recorded her fifth shutout and seventh of her career against Colgate. Â
• Senior Jacquie Greco scored her second goal of the week at No. 7 Mercyhurst on the power play in the second period. Krebs and Piacentini each had assists.
Orange Analysis
• Eighteen different skaters have notched at least one point for the Orange this season.
• Leading the Orange offensive attack is senior captain Holly Carrie-Mattimoe who has nine goals and seven assists for a team-high 16 points. Nicole Ferrara has a team-best 10 assists this season while Shiann Darkangelo has notched 11 goals and four assists for SU.
• Freshman Emily Auerbacher scored her first career goal against the Raiders. Brittney Krebs also scored her first goal of the season.
• Goaltenders Kallie Billadeau and Jenesica Drinkwater have been strong in net for the Orange this season. Billadeau has a program-best five shutouts this season and seven in her career. The junior has a GAA of 1.49 and a save percentage of .941. Drinkwater has two shutouts this season, while recording a GAA of 2.79 and a save percentage of .895.
Scouting the Big Red

• Cornell is unbeaten at home this season, posting a 6-0-0 record at James Lynah Rink.
• The Orange is 4-3-0 this season against ECAC opponents.
• Brianne Jenner leads the Big Red on offense with 10 goals and 13 assists Goaltender Lauren Slebodnick has seen action in 12 games, posting a GAA of 1.98 and a save percentage of .918.
Scouting the Lions
• Record: 2-19-1, 2-5-1 CHA
• Series against SU: SU leads, 2-0-0
• Most recent meeting: 3/2/12 MU 4, SU 3
• Lindenwood's two wins this season have been by two goals or more and are both against CHA opponents.
 • The Lions bested Penn State, 5-1, and Robert Morris, 5-2.
•Alison Wickenheiser leads the Lions with seven goals and seven assists. Between the pipes for Lindenwood is Nicole Hensley who has recorded a GAA of 4.35 and a save percentage of .906.
First of the Year
• The Orange were shutout for the first time this season at No. 7 Mercyhurst, suffering a 1-0 loss.
• SU averages 2.81 goals per game, which is good for third in the CHA.
• The Orange themselves have registered seven shutouts, a program record.
Three for Darkangelo
• Against Colgate, Shiann Darkangelo scored a hat trick, the second of her career. Her first one came in March of last season against Mercyhurst.
• There have only been three hat tricks scored for SU in program history, with Darkangelo claiming two or them. The other was scored by Isabel Menard against Connecticut on Oct. 16, 2010.
Tuesdays
• The Orange is 2-0-0 when playing on Tuesdays.
• Previously, SU defeated RIT, 2-1, in overtime on Tues., Nov. 20 and then most recently defeated Colgate, 6-0.
Just Short
• The Orange ended its first half of the season by being swept by No. 2 Clarkson.
• However, in each game the Orange only fell by just one goal.
• SU also lost to No. 7 Mercyhurst by one goal, 1-0.
• Out of SU's 10 losses, six have only come by one goal.
Against Ranked Opponents
• This will be the sixth time this season that the Orange face a ranked opponent in No. 4 Cornell.
• SU was swept by No. 7 Mercyhurst this past weekend, bumping them to a 0-5 record against ranked opponents so far this season.
• The Orange hung in with No. 2 Clarkson in December, but eventually fell, 3-2 and 5-4.
• SU fell to No. 10 Northeastern, 5-2, in its second game of the season.
• All-time, the Orange hold a 3-33-1 record against nationally ranked opponents.
Short Handed Goals
• Three different Orange have each scored a short handed goal this season.
• Brittney Krebs had one against Colgate in a 6-0 win, while Sadie St. Germain notched the first of her career against No. 2 Clarkson.
• Holly Carrie-Mattimoe also had one this season as well.
Good Averages
•The Orange offense is averaging 2.81 goals a game which is good for 17th in the nation.
• They also only allow an average of 2.00 goals a game which is good for eighth in the nation.
Working Together
• When skating on the same line together, Holly Carrie-Mattimoe, Margot Scharfe and Nicole Ferrara are 10-10-0.
• They have accounted for 41 of the Orange's 145 points (.283) with 19 goals and 22 assists.
• As a line, they are a team high +33. Â
