The Syracuse track and field team travels to Cornell this weekend to compete in the Upstate Challenge in Ithaca, N.Y. The meet kicks off on Friday, Jan. 18th with the women's pentathlon at 4:30 p.m. and continues on Saturday Jan. 19th. The first track event kicks off at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday.

Hurdles
- For the women, junior Sa'De Lewis will compete for the first time this indoor season in the 60-m hurdles. Last season, Lewis ninth in the 60-m hurdles at the BIG EAST Championship (8.71s).
- For the men, senior Amadou Gueye, junior Donald Pollitt and sophomore Darren McCluskey compete in the 60-m hurdles race. Both Gueye and Pollitt competed in the finals at the Gotham Cup. Gueye finished in fifth (8.01) while Pollitt came in eighth (8.05).
Sprints

60-m:
- Klarrissa Ricks, Ashley Keyes, Rebecca Robinson, Sabrina Cammock, Serenity Martin, Kristina Bugg and Kimberly Watterson will run for the Orange in the 60-m dash.
- For the men, Jaquan Holland, Darryl White, Nathanial Mercer, Jihadd Howard and Colin Reno will race. Both Holland and Mercer competed in the NYC Gotham Cup, with Holland sprinting to a second place finish (6.87) and Mercer coming in 10th (7.05).
- 200-m:Â Martin and Keyes will represent SU in the 200-m dash, while Reno will compete for the men.
Distance
- 400-m: Robinson, Commack and Watterson will compete for the women in the 400-m run.
- 500-m: Watterson will also run in the 500-m race for the women while Sean Carney and Matthew Brinkley will represent the men. Both Carney and Brinkley raced in the Cornell Relays, with Brinkley running to a third place finish (1:07.15) and Carney coming in seventh (1:07.61).
- 800-m: Syracuse will race Molly Malone, Karina Ernst, Julissa Wilson, Elizabeth Reynolds, Corinne Stockmal, Christina Lipuma, Harron Young and Lauren Pabisch in the 800-m race.
- 1000-m: Andrew Nelson will represent SU in the 1,000-m run. At the Upstate Challenge last year, Nelson finished in 14th overall with a time of 2:43.07.Â

Mile: Â
- Angelica Peck, Brenna Symoniak, Mara Linde, Margo Malone, Beth Wright, Katie Kinkead, and Bridget Twomey will race for the women.
- For the men, Andrew Bennison, Jonathan Aziz and Corey Dowling will run.

3000-m:
- Kimberly Spano, Kinkead and Rebecca Skodis will race in the 3000-m run. Skodis competed in this race at the Cornell Relays, finishing in ninth (10:46.15).
- Joseph Kush and David Wilson will run for the men. Wilson competed in this event in at the Cornell Relays, finishing in 16th with a time of 9:04.79.
Relays
- 4 x 400 Relay: Representing the Orange women in the 4x400 relay will be Keyes, Robinson, Cammock and Watterson.
Multi-Events
- Senior Erica Belanger will compete in the women's pentathlon, which begins with the 60m hurdles on Friday, Jan. 18th at 4:30 p.m.
Jumps
- Long Jump/Triple Jump: Mikayla Pearce and Will Watson will represent the Orange in the long jump and triple jump events. At the Cornell Relays, Pearce jumped 5.66m to a first place finish in the long jump and fifth in the Triple Jump with a mark of 11.36m. Watson came in fifth at the NYC Gotham Cup with a 6.87m jump and third at the Cornell Relays with a jump of 6.78m.
