Syracuse returns home after a five-game road trip to host CHA opponent, Penn State. The Orange (12-11-1, 6-3-1 CHA) sit in second place in the CHA standings. SU and the Nittany Lions face off on Friday , Jan. 25th, at 7 p.m. and Satruday, Jan. 26th at 2 p.m. at the Tennity Ice Pavilion.
Weekend Recap
• The week started out rough for the Orange after they fell at No. 4 Cornell, 8-1.
Senior Jacquie Greco scored the lone goal for the Orange in its fourth loss to a ranked team this season.
• The Orange then traveled to Lindenwood, where they would earn six points in the standings after defeating the Lions, 2-1 and 8-1.
• On Friday night, both Julie Knerr and Melissa Piacentini scored to lift the Orange to victory.
• On Saturday night, ten different Orange registered at least one point while Kaillie Goodnough notched four assists. Ten different Orange registered at least one point in the win as the Orange scored the mostgoals that had against any team this season.
Orange Analysis
• Three Orange have a team-high 18 points. Shiann Darkangelo leads SU with a team high 13 goals and five points. Holly Carrie-Mattimoe has nine goals and nine assists while Piacentini has eight goals and 10 assists.
• Kaillie Goodnough and Nicole Ferrara each are tied for the team-high in assists with 11 each.
• The Orange have scored four shorthand goals so far this season, which leads the CHA.
• Darkangelo leads the Orange with three game-winning goals, which puts her at third in the CHA and at 15th in the nation.
• Goaltenders Kallie Billadeau and Jenesica Drinkwater have been strong in net for the Orange this season. Billadeau has a program-best five shutouts this season and seven in her career. The junior has a GAA of 1.47 and a save percentage of .942. Drinkwater has two shutouts this season, while recording a GAA of 3.20 and a save percentage of .879.

• The Nittany Lions lost two close games at Union this past weekend, Falling 1-0 and 2-1.
• For its only conference win, PSU bested Lindenwood, 3-2.
• Freshman Shannon Yoxheimer leads the way for the Nittany Lions with 12 goals and 11 assists.
• In net is junior Nicole Paniccia who has notched a GAA of 3.32 and a save percentage of .920.

• Margot Scharfe and Laurie Kingsbury each scored twice for SU while Nicole Ferrara registered two assists.

Four Points for Goodnough
• Junior defenseman Kaillie Goodnough led the Orange with a four-point game after recording four assists at Lindenwood
• The last time that someone from SU recorded four assists was Julie Rising against Northeastern (10/1/10)
• Goodnough is tied for a team-high 11 assists.

• Eight different Orange have scored twice in a single game this season.
• Melissa Piacentini scored a pair of goals at Lindenwood (1/19/13) and against RPI (11/23/12).

• Jacquie Greco notched two tallies against Robert Morris.
• Carrie-Mattimoe notched two goals and one assist in SU's season-opener against New Hampshire (10/5/12)

Piacentini with Points

• She notched three goals over the weekend at Lindenwood, including the game-winner on Friday night.
• Piacentini has is tied for a team-high 18 points and leads SU rookies with eight goals and 10 assists.
• She was named the CHA Rookie of the Week twice this season (1/21/13 & 11/26/12)
Season Highs
• Prior to Saturday's 8-1 win at Lindenwood, the most goals they scored were six against Colgate (1/8/13)
•The Orange notched 54 shots, three behind the Orange's season –high of 57 that they had at Penn State (10/13/12)
• SU's four goals in the first period were the most they have scored in the first 20 minutes of play all season.
• Prior to Saturday's game, the most goals they had scored in the first period were two, which they accomplished against No. 2 Clarkson (12/8/12)
• The Orange also registered a season-high 22 points at Lindenwood on Saturday.
