Orange Ranks Among Nation's Best

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse junior Alyssa Murray and sophomore Kelsey Richardson have emerged among the nation's best in the latest women's lacrosse national statistics released by the NCAA.
According to this week's rankings, Murray is 12th in the nation in points (70) and 11th in points per game (4.67). Richardson ranks sixth in the country with a 7.54 goals-against average.
In addition, Syracuse ranks among the national team leaders in several categories. SU is ranked sixth in scoring offense (14.87 ppg.), ninth in points (316), eighth in scoring margin (6.13) and third in draw controls (15.0 per game). The Orange's winning percentage of .800 ranks 10th in the nation.
Syracuse goes road to close out the 2013 regular season this weekend. The Orange plays at Loyola on Friday, April 26 and at Georgetown on Sunday, April 28.
