Syracuse and Florida are meeting in the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive year. The squads faced off in the national semifinals last season in Stony Brook where the Orange defeated the Gators, 14-13 in double overtime. With less than eight minutes left in in the second half, Syracuse trailed 13-8. The Orange then went on a 6-0 scoring run and tied the game with 30 seconds left in regulation. In the second overtime, Sarah Holden gave the Orange the victory after scoring her fourth goal of the game, allowing Syracuse to advance to the national championship game. The Orange's comeback was the second-largest comeback in tournament history.
