
Orange Kick Off Indoor Season

Syracuse competes at Greg Page Relays
The Syracuse track and field teams kicked off its early season slate on Saturday at the Greg Page Reiays at Cornell.
The Orange took home a pair of event wins, with Regine Hunter taking the triple jump with a distance of 12.53 meters and the men's distance medley team of Josh Hayman, David Stankiewicz, Robbie Hall and Paul Lovell taking the crown with a time of 10:42.37, highlighting the meet.
Syracuse had a number of strong season debuts posted, including taking four of the top-seven spots in the women's 60-meter dash final. Rebecca Robinson (7.74), Bria Goodson (7.81), Victoria Parker (7.88) and Hunter (7.91) finished fourth through seventh respectively.
Goodson had the strongest qualifying time, completing the race in 7.62 seconds which met the ECAC/IC4A meet qualifying time.
Andrew Bennison, Philo Germano, Kevyn Hoyos and Juris Silenieks represented 'Cuse in the men's 4x800 meter relay and took fifth (8:23.89), while the women's group of Gabrielle Kreuz, Katherine Flesicher, Meredith Reiche and Stephanie Bitcon took sixth in their turn at the event, finishing in 9:56.63.
The Orange received a strong debut performance from freshman Brittany Belo in the 300-meter dash. The rookie completed the event in 42.06, which was good for sixth place in the field of 82. Fellow freshmen Victoria Parker (43.57) and Danielle Delgado took 20th and 22nd respectively.
Shaylyn Tuite and Kellee McCann also turned in top-10 performances for Syracuse, taking fourth and eighth in the 3,000 meters with a times of 10:12.75 and 10:56.86 respectively.
In addition to Hunter's triple jump, the Orange also got a strong jumping performance on the men's side from Pascal Bastein, who leaped to 13.70 meters, which was good for sixth.
Reggie Morton, who took fourth in the long jump, also had a solid day for SU. Morton posted 6.83 meters in the event.
