Pagano Set New School Record At ISU Classic

AMES, Iowa & GENEVA, Ohio—Sarah Pagano set a new school record in the women's 5,000-meter run highlighting the Syracuse track and field team's performance this weekend. A contingent of distance runners competed in the Iowa State Classic and in the Spire Institute Invitational.

Pagano's time of 16:09.29 beat the previous record by over eight seconds at the ISU Classic.
Sydney Leiher turned in a 2:49.86 performance in the 1,000-meter run at the Spire Institute Invitational, just over one second short of a school-best performance.
Robert Molke ran the men's 5,000-meter run in 14:00.77, four seconds shy of the school record and nearly 40 seconds faster than his previous best time. MJ Erb finished the same event with a time of 14:26.99 and in Geneva, Ohio Kevyn Hoyos finished it in 14:29.84.

Joel Hubbard finished the mile with a time of 4:05.27 while Ryan Urie finished in 4:10.01. Colin Bennie finished in 4:11.02 in Ohio.

At the Spire Institute Invitational, the men's distance medley relay, which consisted of Shawn Wilson, Nick Ryan, Paul Lovell and Colin Bennie, finished with a time of 10:05.52.
