
'Cuse Tennis Rises In National Poll

SKILLMAN, N.J. – After splitting its weekend matches, which included a victory over previously-ranked No. 34 Boston College, the Syracuse tennis team leapt eight spots in the International Tennis Association rankings to No. 59.
It is the highest spot Syracuse has been ranked since April 17, 2012 when the squad was 57th. The Orange also was tied for the ninth highest jump in this week's polls.
SU (3-9, 3-4 ACC) won its third match in its last five tries - all coming in Atlantic Coast Conference play and against teams ranked in the top-48 of the ITA at the time. Wins came against Virginia Tech (No. 48), Florida State (25) and Boston College (34) with the two losses coming at the hands of top 15-clubs Virginia (3) and Miami (13).
