
Six Named to All-ACC Academic Rowing Team

Frawley, Habjan, Hamilton, McCrudden, Soja and Williams honored for academic achievement
GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Six members of the SU women's rowing team have been named to the 2014 All-ACC Academic Team. Freshman Chelsea Frawley, juniors Caroline Habjan, Georgia Hamilton, and seniors Maggie McCrudden, Rebecca Soja and Miranda Williams were selected to the 53-person team announced by Commissioner John Swofford on Tuesday, July 1.

All six honorees were members of head coach Justin Moore's varsity eight that took third in its first ACC Championship.
Frawley was one of the top freshmen for the Orange in 2014, rowing in seat four for the varsity eight at the ACC Championship. Frawley was also selected as a Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) National Scholar-Athlete this season.
Habjan earned CRCA National Scholar-Athlete honors for the second time in 2014. Habjan was also a member of the second varsity eight that took first at the Orange Challenge Cup versus Northeastern and Penn, and at the Kittell Cup against Boston University and Minnesota.
A Pocock All-America Second Team selection, Hamilton earned a number of accolades during her junior year, including All-ACC First Team honors after helping row the Orange to a third-place finish at the ACC Championship from her fifth seat in the varsity eight. She was also a CRCA South First Team All-Region selection and a CRCA National Scholar-Athlete.
McCrudden earned CRCA South Second Team All-Region honors. She stroked the varsity eight to victories in the Orange Challenge Cup and Kittell Cup this past season.
Soja, another CRCA South First Team All-Region selection for the Orange, earned All-ACC Second Team honors as a member of the varsity eight for the ACC Championship. In addition, Soja is a three-time CRCA National Scholar-Athlete choice.
Williams, also a three-time CRCA National Scholar-Athlete, was a member of the winning varsity four at the Foot of the Charles and helped the varsity eight to wins at the Orange Challenge Cup and Kittell Cup.
To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic Team, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.0 grade-point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.0 cumulative GPA during her academic career.
