First varsity eight places eighth at Princeton Chase
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Syracuse University women's rowing team completed a busy weekend on Sunday at the Princeton Chase. Syracuse's top boat, the first varsity eight, placed on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, N.J.

After two days of competition at the Collegiate Small Boats Challenge in West Windsor, N.J., the Orange made the short trip to the Princeton Chase on Sunday. Syracuse sent out there boats in the varsity eight race.

SU's top boat placed eighth in the varsity eight event. The Orange covered the 3-mile course in 15:09.524. The second and third varsity eight crews placed 23rd and 32nd, respectively. 65 boats competed in the women's varsity eight, the largest race of the 2015 Princeton Chase.

Syracuse will complete its fall season on Saturday as it hosts Cornell.Â
