Syracuse defeats Cornell and Buffalo in scrimmage on Saturday
LIVERPOOL, N.Y. – The Syracuse University women's rowing concluded its fall season on Saturday morning with a scrimmage against Buffalo and Cornell at the James A. Ten Eyck Boathouse. It was a clean sweep for the Orange in its only home race of the fall season, placing first in every race it competed in.

Syracuse and Cornell each sent out six boats on Saturday, while Buffalo only competed in the first and second varsity eight competitions. Each crew rowed the 1,500-meter course three times on Saturday.

SU's first varsity eight boat placed first in each race of the day. The crew owned the top time of the day, completing the course in 4:58.8 in the second first varsity eight race. Cornell finished in second place in each race, while Buffalo placed third.

The second varsity eight crew also posted a solid showing on Onondaga Lake. Syracuse won each race by at least 13 seconds on Saturday afternoon. Its best time came in the first run of the course, recording a time of 5:03.6.
