SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The RV/RV Syracuse University women's basketball team opens a stretch where it plays four games in six days on Tuesday night as it hosts Drexel. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.

Tickets can be purchased online, by phone at 1-888-DOMETIX, or by visiting the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B) during normal business hours.

Syracuse is coming off a 65-49 victory against Jacksonville on Dec. 21. Senior guard Brianna Butler led the team with 16 points, while redshirt junior guard Brittney Sykes tallied the team's first double-double of the 2015-16 campaign.

Drexel comes into Tuesday night's contest with a 4-6 overall record. After dropping two straight games, the Dragons defeated Quinnipiac, 62-49, on Dec. 21. Junior forward Sarah Curran paces the team in scoring, averaging 16.0 points per game.

Ring in the New Year with Women's Basketball
The Syracuse University women's basketball team will ring in the New Year with three contests the week of Dec. 28 in the Carrier Dome. Fans can get a ticket to all three games for a low price of $20 for adults and $10 for youth, 12 years old and under.

Syracuse will host Drexel (Dec. 29), Howard (Dec. 30), and UTRGV (Jan. 1) in the friendly confines of the Carrier Dome. Fans who attend all three contests will receive a Syracuse winter hat and a special mystery ticket.

Tickets can be purchased online, by phone at 1-888-DOMETIX, or by visiting the Carrier Dome box office (Gate B). The Carrier Dome box office will be closed Dec. 24 – Dec. 26, Dec. 28, and Dec. 31. It will open three hours prior to tip time on Dec. 29 and Dec. 30 and will be accessible two hours before the start of the UTRGV contest on Jan. 1.

Syracuse recorded a 65-49 victory against Jacksonville on Dec. 21 in the Carrier Dome. Syracuse led wire-to-wire in its seventh win of the 2015-16 season.

The Orange opened the game with a 15-6 advantage against the Dolphins, thanks to four 3-point field goals from junior forward Isabella Slim, senior guard Brianna Butler, and junior guard Alexis Peterson. Syracuse matched a season-high with eight 3-pointers in the first half of competition, en route to a 38-22 halftime edge.

Jacksonville kept it close until an Orange run that spanned the end of the third quarter and the start of the final frame. Syracuse outscored JU, 16-1, to take a 63-36 lead with 6:06 remaining in regulation. SU coasted the rest of the way to a 16-point victory.

Butler scored a season-high 16 points on the night. The nation's active career leader in 3-point field goals made knocked down her first three 3-point field goal attempts. Butler is nine points shy of passing Beth Record for ninth on the Syracuse all-time scoring list.
