Will face two top-20 teams in final race of the regular season
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The No. 17 Syracuse University women's rowing team will conclude its regular season on Saturday morning on the Griggs Reservoir on the Scioto River in Columbus, Ohio. Syracuse will take on No. 1 Ohio State, No. 13 Michigan, and Michigan State in its final race of the 2015 regular season.
Â
For the second straight week, the Orange will compete against the Buckeyes and Spartans. Last weekend at the Clemson Invite, Syracuse raced in the same heat as Ohio State twice and did not face off against Michigan State. Saturday marks the first time Syracuse and Michigan will compete against one another.
Â
The Orange are looking to build on a strong showing from last weekend on Lake Hartwell in Clemson, S.C., site of the 2015 Atlantic Coast Conference Championships. There, Syracuse swept No. 19 Gonzaga in the first varsity eight, second varsity eight, and first varsity four on Sunday morning and defeated No. 16 UCLA in the first varsity eight and first varsity four in its first session on Saturday.

From there, the first novice eight, second varsity four, first varsity four, and second varsity eight races will be held in 20-minute increments.
