Treanor, Gait Named to NCAA Championship All-Tournament Team

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse juniors Kayla Treanor and Taylor Gait were named to the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship All-Tournament team for their performances against Maryland in the national semifinals.

Treanor earns the honor for the third consecutive year. She led the Orange with five points against the Terrapins on three goals and two assists. In addition, she recorded three ground balls and three draw controls. Treanor led the team with 57 goals this season.

Gait, playing in the national semifinal for the first time, scored two goals. She also picked up three ground balls and caused a turnover. Gait finished the year with 25 goals, 22 ground balls and six caused turnovers.

Syracuse finished the season with a 16-7 record and advanced to the national semifinals for the fourth consecutive year. The Orange defeated three top-five teams in a four-day span to claim its first ACC Tournament title.
