
ACC Announces Seeds for Women's Rowing

Syracuse seeded second in four of five races
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The No. 17 Syracuse University women's rowing team earned the second seed in four of the five races that will be contested at the 2015 Atlantic Coast Conference Championship. Syracuse received the second seed for the first, second, and third varsity eight competitions and the first varsity four event.

The Orange received the fourth seed for the second varsity four race, as well. The seeds for the races were determined by a vote of the league's nine head coaches.

Syracuse enters the ACC Championship as the second-highest ranked team in the conference, checking in at No. 17 in the nation in the latest coaches' poll release. No. 2 Virginia, winner of 14 of 15 conference titles, is the top-ranked squad in the league. No. 19 Notre Dame is the only other program currently ranked in the top 20 of the coaches' rankings.

Competition at the ACC Championship will begin on Friday, May 15 on Lake Hartwell in Clemson, S.C. Racing will begin at 6 p.m. The event will conclude with the finals on the morning of Saturday, May 16. Live coverage of the finals will be available on ESPN3, beginning at 8:05 a.m.Â
