Taylor has twice competed at the World Rowing U23 Championships
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Coming off its most successful season under head coach Justin Moore, the Syracuse women's rowing team will look to senior Harriet Taylor as one of its top rowers. Taylor possesses invaluable experience, competing at the highest levels, collegiately and internationally.
Taylor has competed in the Orange's top crew, the first varsity eight boat, since the 2014 campaign. She helped the Syracuse first varsity eight crew to a 12th-place showing at the 2016 NCAA Championship at the Sacramento State Aquatic Center.
In addition, the Sunningdale, England native has competed for the Great Britain U23 national team at the World Rowing U23 Championships each of the past two summers. In 2015, Taylor helped the British U23 coxed eight boat to a third-place finish in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
Prior to the start of the upcoming autumn campaign, Cuse TV spoke with Taylor about her experiences as an international student-athlete, times rowing with the Great Britain national team, and much more. One can access the video by clicking the 'play' button in the above image or in the side menu.
Taylor and the Orange women's rowing team will begin its fall season on Saturday morning when they host Cornell in a scrimmage. The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the James A. Ten Eyck Boathouse in Liverpool, N.Y.
