Orange await opponent

The No. 2 Syracuse field hockey team (14-3) will find out their NCAA Tournament pairing on Sunday at 10 p.m. during the selection show, which will be streamed live on NCAA.com.

Eighteen teams make the NCAA Tournament field including the two play-in games and bids are comprised of the conference champions and at-large selections.

Once Syracuse's name is called tonight, it'll mark the ninth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance for 'Cuse under head coach Ange Bradley. The Orange have garnered one of the top-four seeds nationally in each of the last two tournaments as well. This would be the 12th NCAA Tournament appearance in program history, with Syracuse making the final four in four previous tournaments, including winning the 2015 NCAA Championship.
