TREANOR IN CONTROL
Senior Kayla Treanor set a single-game program record for draw controls on Sunday, Feb. 14 against No. 13/12 Loyola with 19. In her first match being the Orange's primary player in the draw circle, the Niskayuna, N.Y. native took the spot as the fifth-highest total in NCAA Division I history for the statistic. In the first game of the season she tied her total from 2015. Treanor added to her draw performance with four goals. She was honored by the ACC and Inside Lacrosse for her record-setting performance against Loyola as ACC Offensive Player of the Week and Inside Lacrosse's Player of the Week.
EVERYONE'S A THREAT
The Orange saw goals from nine different players in the season opener against Loyola. Senior Halle Majorana (Manhasset, N.Y.) led Syracuse with five goals and an assist for six points against Loyola. Freshman Nicole Levy (Manhasset, N.Y.) recorded five assists in her collegiate debut. Returning at attack for the Orange, sophomore Riley Donahue (Syracuse, N.Y.) also notched five points with two goals and three assists on the day.
