SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The No. 14/15 Syracuse University women's basketball looks to advance to the Sweet 16 for the first time in program history when it takes on in-state foe RV/RV Albany in the second round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament on Sunday afternoon. Tipoff is slated for 12:00 p.m. in the friendly confines of the Carrier Dome.

Tickets for Sunday's second-round contest are already available. For Sunday's game, tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for youth, college students with ID, and senior citizens. Group tickets (20 or more) are $10 for adults and $8 for youth. The Carrier Dome box office will be open from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are available online, as well.
Sunday's contest will be televised on ESPN2 and Bob Wischusen (pbp) and Steffi Sorensen (analyst) will be on the call. Brian Higgins '04 (pbp) will be on the call live on the Syracuse IMG Sports Network. As always, follow @CuseWBB on Twitter for live in-game updates.

In its last game, Syracuse used a strong first-half performance to record a 73-56 victory against Army West Point in the first round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament on March 18. With the win, the Orange advanced to the second round for the third consecutive season. Albany enters Sunday's contest looking for its first trip to the Sweet 16 and second NCAA Tournament victory in program history. The Great Danes sport a 28-4 overall record and won the America East Tournament title. Albany earned votes in the latest releases of both major national polls. In their last game, the Danes knocked off Florida, 61-59, for their first NCAA Tournament win in school history.

Syracuse's senior class entered as one of the nation's top recruiting classes in 2012. Guards Brianna Butler and Brittney Sykes were the program's third and fourth McDonald's All-Americans, spearheading a class that was ranked No. 6 nationally by the Dan Olson Collegiate Girls' Basketball Report.

Since joining the program, Syracuse has won 95 contests, one shy of the school record, and appeared in the NCAA Tournament every year, winning its first two NCAA Tournament contests in school history. The group has won 73.1 percent of its games, the top winning percentage in school history, as well.

The senior class has been a driving force in that time. The group has earned four all-conference recognitions and been ranked in the top 25 of the Associated Press Poll for 39 weeks during their careers.

Syracuse used a strong first-half performance to coast to a 73-56 victory against RV/- Army West Point in the first round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament on March 18 in the Carrier Dome. With the win, Syracuse has advanced to the second round in each of the past three seasons.

The Orange exploded to a 39-14 halftime advantage behind a stout defense against Army West Point. Syracuse, the nation's leader in turnovers forced per game, forced 14 turnovers in the opening 20 minutes of the game. The club capitalized off the Black Knights' misfortunes, scoring 19 points off turnovers.

Thanks to a large first-half cushion, the team was able to cruise to a 17-point victory and its third straight trip to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Orange recorded their 26th victory of the season with the win, matching the program record.
