CHICAGO --Â Syracuse's NCAA Tournament journey continues on Friday, March 25 when it takes on Gonzaga. Tipoff is scheduled for approximately 9:40 p.m. Eastern time following the Virginia-Iowa State game at the United Center in Chicago.

The game will be televised by CBS. Fans can also listen to the game on the Syracuse IMG Radio Network and its flagship station, TK99 in Syracuse.

HOW THEY GOT HERE
Syracuse, the No. 10 seed in the Midwest Region, advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament by defeating No. 7 seed Dayton, 70-51, and 14th-seeded Middle Tennessee, 75-10, last weekend in St. Louis.

Five Syracuse players are averaging double figures in scoring in NCAA Tournament play, led by graduate student Michael Gbinije's 16.5 points per game. Freshman Tyler Lydon has been a spark off the bench for Syracuse (21-13) as he averaged 14.0 points per contest in the first two games of the tournament.

ROBERSON SHINES IN ST. LOUIS
Junior Tyler Roberson was one rebound shy of posting double-doubles in each of the first two round of the NCAA Tournament. He scored 10 points and grabbed 18 rebounds in the opening round match up against Dayton. He followed that performance with 12 points and nine rebounds against Middle Tennessee. Roberson leads the team in rebounding this season, averaging 8.4 per game.

GBINIJE'S STREAK CONTINUES
Graduate student Michael Gbinije has reached double figures in scoring in all 34 games this season. He led the Orange with 23 points against Middle Tennessee to help send the Orange to the Sweet 16. Gbinije is Syracuse's leading scorer this season, averaging 17.8 points per game. Earlier this season, he became the 62nd player in school history to score 1,000 career points.

SCOUTING THE ZAGS
Syracuse faces one of the hottest teams in the NCAA Tournament when it takes on Gonzaga. The Zags have won seven in a row, improving their record to 28-7. After earning an automatic bid by claiming the West Coast Conference title, No. 11 seed Gonzaga upset sixth seed Seton Hall, 68-52, in the opening round and No. 3 seed Utah, 82-59, in the second round.

Kyle Wiltjer leads the team with 20.4 points per game, which 23rd in NCAA. He has had 20 or more points 19 times this season and double figures in 32 of 35 games. Domantas Sabonis is averaging a double-double at 17.5 points and 11.7 rebounds while shooting .609 from the floor, which ranks him No. 17 in the nation in field goal percentage and No. 7 in the nation in rebounds per game. His 409 rebounds is the fifth-best total in the NCAA.

THE SERIES
Friday's game will be the second all-time meeting between the two schools. The first meeting took place in the second round of the 2010 NCAA Tournament in Buffalo. Wes Johnson scored a career-high 31 points and pulled down 14 rebounds to lead Syracuse to an 87-65 victory.
