TODAY'S GAME
- The 11th-ranked Orange looks to pick up its second-straight road victory against a longtime rival as 'Cuse heads to Cornell on Tuesday.
- The game will be broadcast on TK99 with Brian Higgins (pxp) making his return to the booth after an extended run to the Final Four with the Orange women's basketball team and Kyle Fetterly (color) calling the action. WAER will also be calling the game with Conor Green and Marco Socci in the booth, and Jared Barton on sideline.
- Syracuse enters the game 6-3 after retaining the Kraus-Simmons Trophy in a victory over Hobart last Wednesday.
THE CORNELL SERIES
- This will be the 101st meeting between the two programs, with Syracuse controlling the all-time series 64-35-1 over the Big Red in the fourth-longest rivalry in all of college lacrosse.
-The Orange have won three-straight against Cornell and are 12-6 against the Big Red under head coach John Desko.
- The two teams first met on May 21, 1920, the year Syracuse won its first USILA National Championship, with Syracuse winning the game 5-3.
- In last season's matchup between SU and Cornell, John Desko picked up his 200th win as the Orange raced out to a 6-2 halftime lead and took the game 14-6.
DONAHUE REACHES 200 CAREER POINTS
- Donahue became the 17th player in program history to record 200 points in their career with his second-quarter goal against Notre Dame. After three-more points at Hobart, he's one point away from passing Tom Abbott and two points from passing Brad Kotz for 16th and 15th all-time respectively.
- With a goal in the Orange's matchup with Johns Hopkins, he reached the 125 goal plateau, making him 14th in all-time goals at Syracuse. He is two goals from cracking the top-10 at Syracuse.
- Donahue could also be just the fourth player in program history to lead the team in goals three seasons in his career if he continues his streak this season.
NON-CONFERENCE SUCCESS
- Since joining the ACC, the Orange are 21-3 versus non-conference opponents, including a 20-1 mark in regular-season, non-league contests.
- Syracuse finished 9-1 in 2015 versus non-conference opponents. The Orange's only loss to a non-ACC team came in the NCAA quarterfinals, 16-15, versus Johns Hopkins. 'Cuse is 5-1 to start the year in 2016.
TEN BELOW
- Syracuse has won 35-straight games when holding opponents to under 10 goals in a game.
- In 2016, the Orange has held Siena (5), Albany (7), Army (8), St. John's (4) and Hobart (6) to that mark.
- The last time Syracuse failed to win when keeping its foe to single digits was on April 28, 2012 at Notre Dame. The Irish beat the Orange that day, 8-6.
