#15 Syracuse Set for NCAA Rowing Championship

Competition begins on Friday morning in California
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The No. 15 Syracuse University women's rowing team is set to compete at the 2016 NCAA Championship at the Sacramento State Aquatic Center in Gold River, Calif. Racing will begin on Friday at 12:00 p.m. EST and will conclude on Sunday with the finals.
Tickets for the event can be purchased online prior to Friday. Beginning on Friday, tickets can only be purchased on-site at the spectator parking lot. On Friday, the spectator parking lot will be located at 2300 Mine Shaft Lane, Rancho Cordova, CA. On Saturday and Sunday, spectator parking is located at 12059 Foundation Place, Gold River, CA.
For fans not attending the competition, live results and video will be available daily.
It marks the second time in the history of the program that the team earned a bid to the NCAA Championship and first since the 2002 campaign. The Orange finished 12th overall at the 2002 NCAA Championship at the Eagle Creek Reservoir in Indianapolis.
The 2016 season has certainly been a historic one for the Syracuse women's rowing program. The Orange were ranked No. 14 nationally in the USRowing/CRCA Poll in April, reaching their highest ranking under head coach Justin Moore and best rank since May 14, 2003. In addition, the team tied for second place at the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship, its best finish as a league member.
