
Taylor to Race at the Henley Royal Regatta

Taylor named to Great Britain U23 national team
HENLEY-ON-THAMES, England – Rising senior Harriet Taylor of the Syracuse University women's rowing team will compete at the Henley Royal Regatta on the River Thames beginning on Wednesday morning.
The regatta, which was established in 1839, lasts for five days over the first weekend in July. Races are head-to-head knockout competitions, competed over 2,112 meters.
Taylor also was named to the Great Britain U23 national team for the second time in two years. The Sunningdale, England native will compete at the 2016 World Rowing U23 Championships from Aug. 21-28 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
In 2015, Taylor helped the British eight crew to a third-place showing at the World Rowing U23 Championships in Bulgaria. In her first appearance at a world championship event, the Syracuse rower was able to claim a medal.
Taylor has been a mainstay in the Orange top boat since the 2015 campaign. This past season, Taylor helped the first varsity eight crew to a 12th-place showing at the NCAA Championship, its best finish since the 2002 season.
