ORANGE SET FOR NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS
- Syracuse has seven student-athletes (five men, two women) set to compete at the NCAA Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon this week.
- The seven qualifiers are the second-most in program history behind last year's eight.
- The Orange are enjoying the most successful stretch on the track over the past-three seasons, when 21 competitors have made their way to Eugene.
DISTANCE DOMINANCE
- Six of the seven competitors come from the distance group of the roster.
- The Orange have two competitors in both the men's and women's 10ks, where Syracuse has seen at least one student-athlete win All-America honors at the NCAA Championships in the events since 2011.
- 'Cuse is the reigning men's NCAA Cross Country Champions.
HURDLES, TOO
- Freddie Crittenden III continues a long string of Syracuse success in the 110-meter hurdles, qualifying once again after he and Donald Pollitt II each earned All-America honors last season.
- Crittenden is heading to Eugene for the third-straight season.
