Six Former Orange to Take Part in U.S. Team Tryouts

SPARKS, Md. – Six former Orange, including four-time first-team All-American Kayla Treanor, are among the 105 players selected to try out for the 2017 U.S. Women's National Lacrosse Team. Tryouts will be held August 5-7 at the national team training center at US Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md.

Joining Treanor will be fellow 2016 graduate Erica Bodt as well as Becca Block '13, Liz Hogan '11, Alyssa Murray '14 and Michelle Tumolo '13. Treanor, Block, Hogan, Murray and Tumolo were all members of the 2015-16 squad that recently completed a four-game tour in England.

Following the three-day tryout, approximately 36 players will be selected for the U.S. team, which will train leading up to the 2017 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) Women's World Cup in Guildford, England. Ultimately, 18 players will represent the U.S. as the team goes for a third consecutive and eighth overall world title.
