No. 20/19 Syracuse suffers 72-55 loss
DURHAM, N.C. – The 20/19 Syracuse women's basketball team had its four-game win streak snapped by No. 14/15 Duke, 72-55, on Friday night at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
HOW IT WAS DECIDED
The Blue Devils (21-4) jumped out to an early lead against the Orange (17-8) and never looked back. Syracuse trailed, 24-11, after the opening 10 minutes of the game.
A lay-up from senior center Bria Day made it a 10-point game with 4:13 remaining in the third quarter. Duke proceeded to go on a 13-5 run to end the third frame, sealing the game.

OF NOTE
Senior guard Alexis Peterson recorded 19 points to move up to second on the Syracuse all-time scoring list. She now totals 1,794 career points.
This marks the fourth consecutive game that Peterson (19 points), senior center Briana Day (11 points), and redshirt senior guard Brittney Sykes (11 points) all scored in the double digits.
For Duke, junior guard Rebecca Greenwell recorded a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
