SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The No. 21 Syracuse women's basketball team is looking to shatter its home single game attendance record on Sunday night when it hosts No 7/6 Notre Dame. Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.

In their last outing, the Orange notched their 18th consecutive victory at the Carrier Dome, a 95-64 decision against North Carolina on Feb. 12. Redshirt senior guard Brittney Sykes posted a career-best 34 points in the win, the team's sixth 30-point performance of the season.
Notre Dame comes into the weekend tilt with a 24-3 overall record and 12-1 mark in conference competition. The Fighting Irish are ranked sixth in the country in the latest coaches' rankings and seventh in the nation in the most recent AP Poll. Sophomore guard Arike Ogunbowale leads the team in scoring, averaging 15.1 points per game.
SERIES BREAKDOWN
Syracuse and Notre Dame will meet for the 33rd time on the hardwood on Sunday night. The Fighting Irish own a 30-2 advantage in the all-time series. The Orange last scored a victory in the series in the 2002 BIG EAST Tournament, defeating the defending national champions.
In the last contest between the two teams, Notre Dame defeated Syracuse, 68-57, in the 2016 ACC Tournament final. The loss snapped the Orange's 11-game win streak, their longest stretch since the 2009-10 campaign.
