Women's Hoops Closes Regular Season on Sunday

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The No. 20/21 Syracuse women's basketball team concludes regular-season play on Sunday afternoon when it travels to Pittsburgh. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. from the Petersen Events Center.

Sunday's game will be shown on ACC Network Extra with Jeff Hathhorn (play-by-play) and Amanda Silay (analyst) on the call. Brian Higgins '04 will be on the call on Syracuse IMG Sports Network. As always, follow @CuseWBB on Twitter for live in-game updates.

In their last outing, the Orange defeated Wake Forest, 85-64, on Senior Night on Feb. 23. Syracuse's five seniors were responsible for 66 points against the Demon Deacons, more than 75 percent of the team's scoring output.

Pittsburgh enters the weekend tilt with a 13-15 overall record and 4-11 mark in conference competition. In their most recent contest, the Panthers suffered a 79-48 loss at No. 8/11 Florida State on Feb. 23. Sophomore forward Brenna Wise, the team's leading scorer, had 23 points on the night.

SERIES BREAKDOWN
Syracuse and Pittsburgh will meet for second time this season and 58th time overall on Sunday afternoon. The Orange own a 38-19 advantage in the all-time series and have won the past 11 matchups.

In the last contest between the two teams, senior center Briana Day tallied a personal-best 31 points in a 93-65 victory on Feb. 2. Redshirt senior guard Brittney Sykes notched 25 points against the Panthers, passing former teammate Brianna Butler on the program's all-time scoring list.

UP NEXT
Syracuse opens play at the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament in Conway, S.C. on Thursday. The Orange have already locked up the sixth seed in the league tournament and can earn the fifth seed with a win at Pittsburgh and NC State loss at Virginia.
