
Syracuse Ranked #18 Headed into First Race

The Orange open their season on Sunday morning
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Syracuse women's rowing team ranks No. 18 in the country in the latest USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Assocation (CRCA) Poll heading into its first race of the 2017 regular season. Syracuse will open the year on Sunday morning at the Doc Hosea Invite in Camden, N.J.
The Orange are one of four Atlantic Coast Conference programs ranked in the top 20 of the coaches' poll, joining No. 7 Virginia, No. 19 Duke, and No. 20 Louisville. Notre Dame also received votes in the most recent ranking release.
Syracuse is the top-ranked team in Sunday's Doc Hosea Invite field. Northeastern and Pennsylvania both received votes in the coaches' poll.
Racing will begin at 8 a.m. on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J. The Kittel Cup and Orange Challenge Cup are both on the line on Sunday, when the Orange take on Boston University and Pennsylvania, respectively.
