Syracuse takes on Cornell and Navy on Saturday
SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The No. 15 Syracuse men's rowing team opens its 2017 season on Saturday morning against No. 14 Cornell and No. 18 Navy on the Cayuga Lake Inlet in Ithaca, N.Y.
The Orange will look to claim the Goes Trophy against the Big Red and Midshipmen for the first time since the 2011 campaign. Cornell has taken home the trophy each of the past three seasons.Â
Syracuse will compete in the first, second, and third eight varsity races in its first event of the year. The team will take the course beginning at 9:15 a.m. with the third varsity eight competition. The second varsity eight race will be held 30 minutes later, while the first varsity eight crew will compete at 10:15 a.m.
