Orange Compete in Trio of Meets

The Syracuse track and field teams competed in three separate meets on Friday night, in the first of two nights in the Yellow Jacket Invitational, the Larry Ellis Invitational and the Virginia Challenge.
In Atlanta, Freddie Crittenden III took home his second-consecutive win in the 110-meter hurdles, cruising to a time of 13.66 seconds. He edged out Orange alum Ramon Sosa (14.16), who took second. Chevis Armstead (14.62) finished 11th.

Danielle Delgado turned in a career-best time in the 100-meter hurdles, racing to a time of 13.62 seconds, which was good for sixth overall. Tia Thevenin finished right behind in seventh with a time of 13.64 seconds.
Winston Lee raced to a mark of 10.55 seconds in the men's 100-meter dash, a mark which was good for seventh overall.
In the women's 100-meter dash, Justice Richardson crossed the line in 11.96 seconds, which was good for 10th to lead the way for 'Cuse. Dasia Pressley finished 0.02 seconds behind in 11th and Victoria Parker crossed the line in 12.09 seconds, which was good for 20th. SU alum and 2016 Olympian Flings Owusu-Agyapong took second in 11.53 seconds.
On night one of the Virginia Challenge, 'Cuse got a trio of top-five performances between the men's and women's races. Paige Stoner finished in 10:22.17, which was good for fifth overall in the women's event, while Adam Visokay (8:51.44) and Aidan Tooker (8:54.01), took second and fifth respectively in the men's event.
At Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational, Adam Palamar raced to a time of 3:43.03 in the 1500-meters, a time that was good for third overall behind Princeton's William Paulson (3:42.23) and Adidas' Drew Hunter (3:42.89). Andy Paladino (4:03.29) also raced in the event for SU.

Mary Malone turned in a fifth-place finish in the 10k, crossing the line in 34:58.60.

It was another steeplechase performance that highlighted the evening for the women. Sydney Leiher finished seventh in a time of 10:30.61 to lead the way for 'Cuse.
Chelsie Pennello competed in the 5k where she took 29th in a time of 17:28.65. In the men's race, Dominic Hockenbury led the way while racing unattached. He finished 14th in 14:29.74, where he was followed by Simon Smith (14:31.07/17th), Joe Dragon (14:38.50/28th) and Griff Molino (14:50.17/38th).
All-three meets will resume on Saturday.
