Ramirez Earns All-ACC Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Freshman Miranda Ramirez of the Syracuse women's tennis team was named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Second Team, the league office announced on Thursday.
Ramirez is currently ranked as the No. 96 singles player in the nation, posting a 15-6 record primarily as the first overall singles player for the Orange. At one point during the season, the rookie had a 12-match winning streak.
Joining the team in January, Ramirez had an immediate impact. She won 13 of her first 14 collegiate singles matches and notched nine doubles wins in her debut season.
Signature wins this season for Ramirez include victories against No. 73 Samantha Harris of Duke and No. 96 Francesco Fusinato of Virginia Tech.
