Knight and Crittenden Win ACC Titles

Freddie Crittenden III and Justyn Knight added to their ACC Championship collection on Sunday, with Crittenden winning the 110-meter hurdles and Knight taking home the 5k title.
Crittenden crossed the line in 13.62 seconds for his fourth-career ACC Championship, 0.12 seconds ahead of Pitt's Desmond Palmer, who took second. Chevis Armstead also earned points in the event, placing seventh overall.
Knight took home his eighth individual ACC title between cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field. He crossed the line in 13:52.38, more than two seconds ahead of NC State's George Parsons. Simon Smith (15.11.97) and Kevin James (15:12.12) finished in 26th and 27th behind Knight in the race.
Adam Palamar also had a strong showing for the Orange, finishing the 1500-meter run in 3:47.34, which was good for fourth overall in the event. Virginia Tech's Neil Gourley won the event in 3:46.05.
Danielle Delgado placed fourth in the 400-meter hurdles, racing to a time of 58.66 seconds in her first year in the event.
Winston Lee followed Palamar with more points for the 'Cuse men. He took fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.44 seconds.
Tia Thevenin continued the hurdles success on the evening, taking sixth in the 100-meter hurdles. Her time of 13.41 seconds was just off Stefani Kerrison's pace of 13.40, for fourth. Peta-Gay Williams of Florida State won in 12.96 seconds.
In the women's 5k, Paige Stoner followed her podium finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a seventh-place finish in a time of 16:34.22. Teammate Madeleine Davison (17:11.50) placed 15th in the race.
In the high jump. Randall Johnson finished 10th, clearing 1.93 meters, while Ebhani Blackwood placed 17th in the triple jump, leaping to a mark of 11.99 meters.
The Syracuse men took ninth overall with 50 points, while the women earned 25 for 11th. Virginia Tech won both the men's (120 points) and women's (124.5 points).
Next, the Orange will take on the NCAA East Regional in Lexington, Kentucky in two weeks.
