O'Connor Earns All-ECAC Honors

DANBURY, Conn. – Syracuse senior Kaeli O'Connor has been voted to the All-ECAC Women's Lacrosse Second Team. The All-ECAC squads were announced on Tuesday, May 16.

O'Connor anchored Syracuse's defense that held its opponent to less than 10 goals eight times in 2017. She finished the year with a career-high 40 ground balls, which ranked second on the team. O'Connor also recorded 14 caused turnovers and 19 draw controls. She was voted to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) First Team, the ACC All-Tournament Team and the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-Northeast Region First Team.

The Orange finished the 2017 season with a 15-7 record. Syracuse finished second in the ACC regular-season standings and was the runner-up at the ACC Championship. The Orange earned the No. 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
