
Mancini, Spera Named Scholar-Athletes of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Jack Mancini of the men's rowing team and Cameron Spera of the dance team are this week's Syracuse Scholar-Athletes of the Week.
Mancini is a sophomore advertising and marketing dual major in the Newhouse School of Public Communications and the Whitman School of Management.
The Pittsford, N.Y. native served as the coxswain of the fourth varsity eight that finished in ninth place at the EARC Men's Sprints on May 14. He also coxed the first varsity four crew in the home opener against Boston University and Columbia.
Mancini and the men's rowing team will compete in the IRA Championship Regatta June 2-4 in Gold River, Calif.
Spera recently graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism and minor in sports management. The Alexandria, Va. native was a team captain the last two seasons and served as the Syracuse Student-Athlete Advisory Committee vice president. Spera was also a member of the Phi Sigma Pi national honor fraternity.
