Watch Part 1 of "The Journey: Kayla Treanor's Road to the 2017 World Cup
BALTIMORE, Md. – Four-time Syracuse women's lacrosse All-American Kayla Treanor '16 is the subject of a four-part video series, which debuted on Thursday, July 6 on InsideLacrosse.com. The project chronicles her career leading up to her appearance at the 2017 World Cup as a member of Team USA.

Part 1 of "The Journey: Kayla Treanor's Road to the 2017 World Cup" focuses on Treanor's youth and high school career in Niskayuna, N.Y. She was a three-sport standout at Niskayuna High School and became the first player from the Albany area to make the Team USA U-19 team.

Treanor's collegiate career will be highlighted in Part 2, which debuts early next week. She earned IWLCA First Team All-America honors all four years of her career, becoming the first player in program history to accomplish the feat. Treanor was a three-time finalist for the Tewaaraton Award and IWLCA Attacker of the Year. She ranks second on Syracuse's all-time scoring list and fourth on the NCAA Division I all-time scoring ledger with 393 points. Her 260 goals are a school record and are the sixth-highest total in Division I history.

Treanor and Team USA will compete at the Federation of International Lacrosse World Cup July 12-22 in Guildford, England. The United States has won seven world titles, including the 2009 and 2013 championships.
