
Peterson Inducted Into Greater Columbus Hall of Fame

Peterson scored more than 2,000 points in her scholastic career
COLUMBUS, Ohio – 2017 WBCA Division I Coaches All-America Team honoree Alexis Peterson was inducted into the Greater Columbus Basketball Legend Association on Saturday night.
Since 2013, the Greater Columbus Basketball Legend Association has induced coaches, players, media personalities, contributors, and teams for their outstanding achievements and accomplishments on the court.
Peterson, a Columbus, Ohio native, was a three-time all-state honoree at Northland High School. In her scholastic career, she scored more than 2,000 points and led her team to an 87-14 record. As a senior, Peterson averaged 28.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 4.2 steals per game.
Currently a guard for the WNBA's Seattle Storm, she went on to have one of the most storied careers at Syracuse. Peterson ranks second in program history with 1,978 career points and left as the school's all-time leader in assists. In her final year on campus, she was recognized as an All-American by three different organizations.
