9/26/2017 5:29:00 PM | Ice Hockey
Redshirt sophomore Lindsey Eastwood spoke with the 2017-18 incoming freshman class to get all the insight on their likes/dislikes and the upcoming season. Here is her Freshman Feature:
Victoria Klimek, Vic to her friends, is a former Oakville Jr. Hornet who hails from Orangeville, Ontario. The Canada native will suit up as a forward for the Orange this season.
Vic started out as a figure skater but found that she didn't enjoy it, so she quickly turned to hockey just like her older brother. Her favorite hockey player Auston Matthews of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Â
Prior to hitting the ice, Klimek must complete a couple pre-game routines like tying her left skate before her right and going through her pre-game stretches. Her pre-game meal consists of chicken, pita, and a pomberry smoothie and she is typically listening to Eminem to get pumped up for games.
Â
Klimek chose to come to Syracuse because it was overall the best fit for her. Between the beautiful campus and the great academics, not to mention the awesome coaches and the potential of the hockey program, Vic was sold on the university.
Â
The forward is excited to pursue her academic and hockey dreams while at Syracuse and she looks forward to meeting new people and making lifelong friends at Syracuse.
Â
The best advice Vic has ever been given is to, "be a good person and a good citizen."
Â
Orange Nation looks forward to seeing you on the ice, Vic!
