Four Orange Student-Athletes Qualify for 2018 ITA National Fall Championships

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Four Syracuse tennis student-athletes have qualified for the the 2018 ITA National Fall Championships.

Senior Gabriela Knutson, junior Miranda Ramirez, sophomore Sofya Golubovskaya and freshman Sofya Treshcheva will head to the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex in Surprise, Ariz., from Nov. 7-11 to compete in the championships.

Knutson is Syracuse's lone singles competitor after qualifying for the competition via an at-large bid. The duo of Golubovskaya and Treshcheva earned a bid to the championships' doubles draw by claiming the doubles crown at the ITA Regional Championship in October.

Knutson and Ramirez will also compete in the doubles draw, earning a bid as a wild card.

The opening round of the championships begin Wednesday, Nov. 7, and the singles and doubles finals matches are set for Sunday, Nov. 11.
