
No. 18 Orange Return to Carrier Dome Sunday

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – No. 18 Syracuse (2-1) returns to the Carrier Dome Sunday for a non-conference game against Bucknell (2-1) at 2 p.m. on ACC Network Extra. The Orange return to Syracuse with their first top-25 win under their belts after defeating No. 20 Texas A&M, 75-65, at the Westchester County Center, home of the WNBA's New York Liberty, in White Plains, N.Y.
Syracuse is 1-0 at home this season earning a 85-49 win over North Dakota in the season opener on Nov. 6. The Orange hit the road to face No. 3 Oregon on Eugene Nov. 10 but were edged by the 2018 national quarterfinalist Ducks, 75-73.
Tiana Mangakahia leads the Orange with 17.3 points per game and a team-best .537 field goal percentage. Redshirt freshman Maeva Djaldi-Tabdi recorded her first career double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds against Texas A&M and is second in scoring this season with 10 points per game. The Orange are holding their opponents to 63 points per game and are forcing 18.3 turnovers per game while scoring 77.7 points per game on 41.1 percent shooting.
Bucknell enters Sunday's match-up on a one-game losing streak after a 64-42 loss at Drexel Thursday night. The Bison began the season with a pair of wins over Monmouth and 2018 NCAA Tournament qualifier Quinnipiac. Kaitlyn Slagus and Kate Walker lead the team with 11 points per game each while Slagus is the team's leading rebounder with 10.7 boards per game.
Sunday is the first meeting in program history between the Orange and Bison.
