This weekend, the Syracuse cross country teams head to Buffalo for the NCAA Northeast Regional meet, hoping to secure a berth in the NCAA Championship.

- Action will start at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 9 with the women's 6k
- The men are running a 10k, their first race of the season at this distance, at Noon.
- The race is hosted by the University at Buffalo on Audubon Golf Course.
- The top-two teams in each race automatically qualify
- The Syracuse men's cross country team claimed the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship title for the eighth time in nine seasons.
- Since graduated runner Justyn Knight earned the individual title for the third consecutive year.
- Paige Stoner and Shannon Malone helped lead the women's team to a third-place finish, subsequently qualifying for the NCAA Championships. Stoner and Malone took second and third, respectively.
- Led by Shannon Malone, the women took home third place after collecting 83 team points.
- The team's performance tied for the best conference meet finish in program history
- On the men's side, Aidan Tooker and Joe Dragon both had top-ten finishes, helping the team to second place.
- Cuse came away with 61 team points, just four points shy of first place Notre Dame.
- The women's team sits at No. 25 and the men's team at No.12
- In the northeast region, the men are ranked No. 1 and the women
- No. 2, making them both favorites to earn automatic spots to Wisconsin.
