Orange Head to Montreal for Three-Game Exhibition Series

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The winter break is over. The Orange are off to Canada this weekend for the Theresa Humes Invitational.
The Syracuse hockey team kicks off its three-game exhibition series in Montreal at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28 against Nipissing. The Orange then play St. FX at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29 before closing out the trip against host Concordia at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30.
The team will stay in downtown Montreal in close proximity to the Bell Centre, home of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens. The trip itinerary includes a number of cultural activities, such as tours of Old Montreal and the Underground City. The weekend allows the Orange to play hockey, bond as a team and see a new part of the world.
The trip marks the first time the Orange have traveled across borders to play since the team's inaugural season. Flanagan took the Syracuse hockey team to both Montreal and Ottawa in the fall of 2008.
